Treasure Hunting

(French Connection Sweater/ Vintage High-waisted Shorts/ Vintage Belt/ Lita-like Boots/ F21 Fringe Purse/ Wholesale Dropped Feather Earrings/ Designer Warehouse Sunglasses/ Michael Kors Oversized Mens Watch/ Various Rings(Barcelona,Independent Vendors)

I've been so busy this past week on the hunt for great merchandise.(By the way..a note to self: Do NOT wear high platform anything when running around shopping all day...Equals complete murder on my little feet ) Whether it be Designer, non name brand clothing, vintage, shoes, accessories...you name it and I've been all over it just to bring all you beloved people a great variety of pieces. Looking forward to bringing a sneak peak on ebay hopefully this week **Crossing fingers**

It has been extremely difficult being a buyer and not wanting to keep all the merchandise for myself, but sharing is caring so I will be sure to not let the "Finders keepers" attitude get in the way;) Ok..well wait.. I did find these high-waisted shorts while vintage shopping and it's the only piece I'm keeping for myself.. I swear..hehe My beautiful mom gave me this sweater because she threw it in the dryer & it shrunk. What a fashion crime..my mom knows better to not throw a silk, lambswool, rabbit hair sweater in the washer but oh well..her loss is now my gain into a cropped sweater. Yay!

"I Have A Dream"

When I think of Martin Luther King Jr... I automatically correlate him with the word FREEDOM & EQUALITY, because ultimately that is all he wanted. Beyond just wanting it, he was a man who was not afraid to put up a fight....but a fight for rights driven without the intentions of violence or hate. He defined his strength through courageous efforts where love and equality remained the center of what he was fighting for.

This day...in honor of MLK is a reminder to myself to always continue fighting hard for what I believe in. That absolutely any obstacle can be overcome, because there is no such thing as giving up. We all have the tenacity to fight through difficult situations. It is not only in the good times, but more so the bad times that help to build and define our character. It is through bad times where we find strength. Take a stand! Make a difference! Have a voice!! And remember to always do it with love and grace! Respect & Blessings to ALL!!

“If you can't fly then run, if you can't run then walk, if you can't walk then crawl, but whatever you do you have to keep moving forward.”

“The ultimate measure of a man is not where he stands in moments of comfort and convenience, but where he stands at times of challenge and controversy.”

“Everybody can be great...because anybody can serve. You don't have to have a college degree to serve. You don't have to make your subject and verb agree to serve. You only need a heart full of grace. A soul generated by love.”

High Slits

(Cheap Monday dress/ Mary Jane Platforms/ Vintage purse(tucked in strap to use as clutch)/ Wooden ring, watch, bracelets all from travels to Vietnam/ Bebe Statement Ring/ Ebay earrings)

I bought this dress earlier this month from the Designer Warehouse. In love with this piece because it's very versatile. It's a looser fit which is why the open and high slit gives it the perfect balance for some sexiness. Who doesn't like a little leg? ;) I'm always afraid that light color palettes wash me out, so thank goodness for red lipstick. Topped it off with a more maroon colored lipgloss..Love how it makes my hair color pop. I've also worn this piece more open at the front of the slit and belted over some wide leg jeans. Makes for a more casual ensemble & still faboosh:)

P.M. Regimen

Time to share some more beauty secrets. I shared in previous posts how I am starting to be obsessed with changing my face products to focus on hydration and anti-wrinkle wonder creams. If in your teens to early 20s, you basically should just keep a regular habit of cleansing the face with no real focus on problem areas(Unless you have acne, which oh boy...I had my fair share of them red dots..but don't worry I have a product that helps with those bad boys) From late 20s to early 30s, your face cleansing regimen should change to creams that prevent wrinkles to minimize appearance of lines. By the way, can you all guess my age?? (Curious what you all think? Which hopefully this question doesn't bite me in my ass)

Products are most effective after showering..probably due to the steam opening up pores, so I typically shower again at night or at least rinse off while I wash my face. I spray Dermalogica multi-active toner to bring the ph levels back to where it's supposed to be. I just started to use StriVectin for anti-wrinkle purposes. I heard great things about this product from my mother's friends, who all have great skin. My mom decided to purchase it from Costco since they were having a promotion..Normally $144.99 but after the discount it was about $100.00 for two bottles with an additional eye cream. And of course my product obsession caused me to steal the extra bottle from my momma dearest:) I dab Clinique Moisture surge just around the eyes to give extra hydration to any lines. And lastly, I use Retin-A Micro, which must be prescribed by a doctor. I've been using this for what feels like all my life to help zap acne and also helps to prevent wrinkles. As you get older, the skin loses its elasticity and collagen. It takes a longer time to exfoliate to produce new skin so Retin-A helps to increase skin cell turnover. AND PLEASE DON"T FORGET:SUNBLOCK, SUNBLOCK, SUNBLOCK in the A.M.!!!! :)

(H&M Faux Leather Jacket/ Bandeu Top/ F21 High-waisted Shorts/ Mom's Vintage Belt/ Black Lita-like Boots/ Statement Necklace purchased from travels to Barcelona/ UO Knucle Ring/ Amazon.com Ring/ Various other rings from Barcelona)

2012 is officially here and I hope everyone is off to a great new beginning..with no regrets, no baggage, no negativity, but instead with a clean slate, love, and positivity! My goal this year is to do as much as I possibly can, spend as much time possible with as a many people as I can , and be at however many places I can be in one day..in other words...busy busy busy bee:) Hence, my outfit posts may be at numerous different places in one day. By the way, excuse how white my face is in some of the photos..think the camera was on the wrong setting, but I just made people take a quick pic so I could do this post. Happy 2012 friends!

Runs In The Genes

Introducing new rising star..Selah Marley, who is the daughter of Lauryn Hill and Rohan Marley...And of of course, I must note the granddaughter of legendary, Bob Marley. This beauty is only 13 years old and already has a spread in Teen Vogue. I'm sure we will be seeing more of her in the future so keep your eyes on the watch. An identical resemblance to her talented momma if you ask me. FYI...Ms. Lauryn Hill is scheduled to perform at the Hollywood Palladium on Valentine's Day, so cop your tickets now!

One of my favorite offspring from the music world is no other than Zoe Kravitz. With gorgeous and stylish parents like Lenny Kravitz and Lisa Bonet, how can you not be blessed with star quality genes?! An already established model, actress, & lead singer of Elevator Fight..it looks as though this 22 year old is already a triple threat, and her sense of style has def kept her on my radar.
