Had a dinner date with my bestie.(pictured above who got a little camera shy.hehe) One of our favorite places to catch up is Lola Gaspar located in the Santa Ana Art District. It's very intimate with a mellow & low lit ambience. It is owned by the same people at Habana in Costa Mesa at the Lab. The bacon wrapped dates with the sherry mustard sauce is an always must have..DELICIOUS!!!!! We tried their special market fish for the day over paella rice cake & wild mushrooms.. absolutely amazing!! Also had the flatbread with merguez sausage, fresh pineapple & chile...soo good. Can't really go wrong with any dish on the menu. My friend knows the staff so the night always ends with a free taste of some of their best whiskey:)
