Happy Memorial Day

I know everyone's probably tipsy but lets not forget the importance of todays celebration & make a toast to all the brave men & women who serve our country(past & present) In loving memory to the biggest hero I know..My grandpa who served in the U.S CIA/Military during the Vietnam War. Salute! He was captured by the Communist Party and served a grueling 17 year prison term in Vietnam..to then be reunited with my grandma & our family in the U.S for a too short lived 7 years before he was laid to rest with the heavens. His sacrifice allowed my grandma,dad,dad's brother & 8 sisters to escape captivity & seek freedom in the States. We miss you and love you Ong! I become more impressed with my family's honor, dignity & cohesiveness...You guys help instill such great family values to help keep me grounded & embody the true meaning of unconditional love, loyalty, sacrifice, & grace.. I stand a very proud member of our family tree & definitely a gawd damn DDANNGGGG:) Happy Memorial Day!!

When I think of Martin Luther King Jr... I automatically correlate him with the word FREEDOM & EQUALITY, because ultimately that is all he wanted. Beyond just wanting it, he was a man who was not afraid to put up a fight....but a fight for rights driven without the intentions of violence or hate. He defined his strength through courageous efforts where love and equality remained the center of what he was fighting for.

This day...in honor of MLK is a reminder to myself to always continue fighting hard for what I believe in. That absolutely any obstacle can be overcome, because there is no such thing as giving up. We all have the tenacity to fight through difficult situations. It is not only in the good times, but more so the bad times that help to build and define our character. It is through bad times where we find strength. Take a stand! Make a difference! Have a voice!! And remember to always do it with love and grace! Respect & Blessings to ALL!!

HAPPY NEW YEARS EVE!!!

I would normally be doing a lot reflecting as another year comes to an end..thinking of my mistakes, what I possibly could've done different, how I could've been a bit more understanding..BUT sorry.. NOT happening this year:) I'm so pleased to say good riddance to 2011, but take away the lessons learned from it. I NO longer choose to worry about the what ifs..but focus on what is and what will be! I approach the New Year focusing on my triumphs! The New Year is about getting another CHANCE!! A possible CHANCE to FORGIVE someone?! To CHANGE..To DO better..To GIVE more..To LOVE even harder!! and NOT just for now, but for the REST OF THE NEW YEAR! Watch out 2012- I'm coming to get ya!! Have an AMAZING and SAFE New Year friends!!

Merry Christmas/Dinner Giveaway Winner

What's so special about the first card..in case you don't notice..one photo("well remembered past") was taken last year where my older nephew was kissing his little sissy..and the second photo("joyful present") was taken this present year where little sissy is kissing big bro the same exact way as the previous year... sooo unbelievably precious (and NOT choreographed may I add) The other card is of my gorgeous niece dressed up as a snowgirl in her little tutu.awww!! Isn't that the cutest thing ever? Little people are the most precious gifts given to this world:)

HAPPY THANKSGIVING from me and family to you and yours!! This past year has been one of those filled with ups and downs, highs and lows, bad & even worst but I am beyond THANKFUL for this gift of LIFE!!
